After a pretty successful opening of our very first venture into the Food & Drink industry, it gives us great delight to welcome you to our second, The Burn – Pub & Kitchen.

Late last year (2014), after many years employed in the industry, Neil Flockett along with his partner, Vicki Marsh-Steele, decided to take the plunge and open The Cornerhouse Bar & Kitchen in Hope Street, Crook.
Introducing a fresh contemporary look to what was a small cafe, The Cornerhouse hit the ground running and proved an instant hit assuring a warm friendly atmosphere and a simple, yet extensive menu of home cooked, quality food. The Bar has quickly become known as the place to go for a morning coffee, a beer with mates, a family meal or a cocktail night with the girls.
In keeping with the philosophy nurtured in the Cornerhouse, you’ll find considerable similarities with their new Pub & Kitchen, The Burn. Given those similarities, both are however, very different styles of venue. Maintaining a contemporary and tasteful look, the pub also boasts an open fireplace and a wonderfully restored Oak Bar with Cask Ale’s the pride of place. The Old Conservatory has been given a new lease of life with a Rustic Wood ceiling and is now more of a cozy snug, ideal for private dining or larger parties.

With a whole host of new featured nights, Guest Ales, Live Music and a Pub Quiz on the way, theres a lot to love about the new Pub. Wether an old regular or a brand new customer, The Burn assures you of a very warm, friendly, relaxed environment to come for a meal with your family or a drink with your friends.
